Counting Sheep Application

Beds for kids! Counting Sheep volunteers build beds and provide bedding for children ages 3–17 who currently have no bed of their own.

Qualifications for receiving a bed

  1. You must live in the area. We serve Lucas County, Marion County, Wayne County, and the PCM School District. We now also include Decatur and Clarke counties east of I-35.
  2. You must have an accessible house or apartment with a room large enough to fit one of our beds.
  3. We must be able to contact you via phone, text, or email.
  4. You will need to fill out this application form.
  5. If your application is selected you will need to sign an indemnification form prior to delivery.

Application process

  1. Review the qualifications.
  2. Fill out this application, or contact Chariton First United Methodist Church.
  3. Paper forms can still be mailed to Chariton First United Methodist Church, PO Box 672, Chariton, Iowa 50049.
  4. Once a form is received, the selection committee will review it and prioritize applications based on need.
  5. If selected, a twin bed, mattress, mattress pad, sheets, pillow, and quilt will be delivered and set up at the delivery address.
